10+ years experience working as a 1:1 English, Writing, Reading, Speaking & ESL Tutor with students ages 4-17. 8 years experience working as an online ESL teacher. My extensive experience has given me a solid foundation to adapt to the needs of each individual student. I always bring a professional yet creative energy to every tutoring session. I find this helps to keep students both motivated and engaged in their learning experience. I use a wide variety of tools to help students progress in their work. For younger students, this includes storybooks, finger puppets, reward charts (with fun breaktime activates) and creative learning techniques to help keep students interested and happy while learning. For older students, this includes thought provoking books and articles to inspire critical thinking, tips and tricks for writing & editing essays as well as thought provoking questions students can into their work, whether it be Shakespeare, modern day literature, speeches or beyond. I also have an entire at home, online classroom set up from my 8 years as an online ESL teacher. This allows me to shift with the ever changing needs of today's world and am available for both in-home and online tutoring sessions.
